FREE means it costs nothing. Turns out it costs €3.95 to receive it.

You get an invoice and can pay at any post office.

Sure I'll give it a go for the 4quid, hopefully doesn't turn into a nightmare like the link above.

I saw this offer on TV a few weeks ago and was gonna post it here. 'Your Commemorative Medal is Specially Commissioned by the Dublin Mint Office' goes the sales patter which all sounds very official giving the medal some actual worth.

But on reflection I didn't cos a stamp costs 80c , their €3.95 cost to post the thing is just a hidden postage charge. I'm not saying its a scam or anything but just be aware that this medal, despite the sales talk, is pretty worthless and they're making their money off you by the postage charge. It is not a bargain but rather a sales tactic trying to make people think they are getting something for 'free'.

Aren't they the crowd who send you things with a view to buying them?

Plenty of people will be happy to pay €3.95 for a 'free' medal. Even those who wouldn't dream of buying it in one of those touristy tat shops for the same price.

This is a very old scam . The Brits have been buying this tat for years.

    Keep the €3.95 .

Steer clear of this company. You will regret any dealings with them.

Just remembered they had a "Talk to" here on boards. Read their post and do not order

Ordered this a while back after seeing the ad on TV. Coin arrived yesterday with an invoice for 4.95 on top of the agreed postage fee. Nothing been taken from the card yet. Dodgy

But OP said it's a bargain.

I'd also be wary of being added to every junk mail list going by this crowd if using a home address. They've made the comments section on boards a fair bit over the years and it's never for good reasons.

So after saying the coin was free they're now trying to charge you for it? Keep a close eye on your card over the next while I'd say because going by other complaints theres a good chance they're going to charge you for something they said was for free.

I'm locking this thread as there has been too many horror stories about this company. If the Admins want to take this up with me I'll gladly explain why.
