Hi I have picked up a few old micra's for grass rallying.
They had being laying up for a while and wont start now.

I put fresh fuel in changed the fuel filters and put in new spark plugs.
I can see the fuel filter fill with fuel.

I can get them to start with easy start but when i stop spraying it they cut out.

Any ideas what else I should check ?

Are all the cars displaying the same exact issue?
So you're getting sparks anyway, but is fuel reaching the cylinders?

They are all having the same issue.
I was getting a spark the other week and as i could get them going using easy start or petrol in through the air intake I take it they still have spark.

I am not sure if the fuel is getting to the cylinders.

It does seem to be a fuel issue.

Spark seems OK as they are new and you have had it going with easy start.

Air appears OK as you have sprayed easy start through the air system (pre filter and with filter in I presume). If not take filter out to see will that help.

Fuel does appear the culprit. If the fuel filter is filling with fuel it would suggest the pump is OK unless not accumulating enough pressure.
Is it an injector or carburettor fed system. Can you see if fuel is getting to this point?

Lift a sparkplug and check for fuel in cylinder.
If dry, replace plug and crank it a few times, then check cylinder again.

It's kinda weird all the cars have the same issue.

    Is it K11 or K12s?

My neighbour very recently bought a brand new car. "Why did you change?" I asked. "It wouldn't start" his reply. He didn't make any attempt to fix it.
