    Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has bought off of AliExpress. Really interested in getting the Xiaomi Mi5 but just worried about forking out €310 to a Chinese website that no one has tried. The phone is a beast and i'd rather it than phones over here.

Any input let me know. :)

Loads of people, myself included, in the Chinese Android Phones thread have bought Chinese phones from Aliexpress and other websites. You'll get plenty of information in there.

Very happy with my xaomi mi5. Bought from http://www.iwantmi.com the 64gb model. Was caught for custom charges but site refunded them. Note that they have changed their policy and note only give 50% refund. Reason for buying was the dual sim and the good reviews. 3gb memory means it is very fast. Downside is no external storage but that's why I went for the 64 gb.

That's why I prefer to buy from sites that have EU warehouses...

I have only positive things to say about xiaomiforsale.com.

Never heard of them before. Had a look and considering them.
Are they definitely above board? The site name puts me off tbh.

They used to be a 18 months ago... I could pay with PayPal back then, and were shipping DHL from Czech republic.

Right now I cannot say anything about them anymore.

    Hi guys,

Jist wondering how everyone got on with the mi5 that purchased one.

I am on the look out for a new phone and currently looking at the mi5. Currently I have an xperia z1 compact.

Obviously the price is what is attracting me as well as the specifications, and the size 5.1 inch.

I would just like to know peoples experiences with the mi5, is it as good as it appears to me?

How have you found the camera? as I like having a decent camera on a phone.

Have you come across any issues with it such as 4g connection or connecting via Bluetooth with other devices?
