Ultegra 6700 rear mech cage

Hi, wonder if anyone can help. Had to give the rear mech a good clean today and while putting it back together the screw that holds the top jockey wheel popped out. It looks like the thread in the cage has completely stripped out. This leaves me thinking I'll need a new mech as I can't seem to find the cages on sale. Any ideas?

It is possible to buy the cage but selecting the right cage can be difficult and confusing - you will need to know if your current mech is long or short. A new RD will set you back €60. Replacing the cage will set you back at least €20 - maybe a bit more.

Thanks for that, it does seem complicated to pick the correct one. Think I may have to buy a new bike

This is obviously the optimal solution but you'll still be left with a bike that you will have to fix (n+1 and all that.....)

But get the new bike - that way you can do some proper research on the RD cage while still having a steed to ride!
