Another night and the cycling has been delayed by Eurosport. It was delayed last night and they didn't even show the previous night and put on some other ****e about Kenyan runners instead.

I look forward to watching the late night show as my wife is usually in bed, the kids are in bed and there's no one there to distract/disturb me and yet again Eurosport decide to over run due to bloody snooker.

It's infuriating, it was supposed to start 40 minutes ago and the snooker ended 10 minutes ago so wh don't they cut the show instead of showing post match analysts and that junkie Jimmy White mumbling about it.

    Rant over.

Live sport always gonna take priority. Do you have a recorder box?

If there's one thing Eurosport cannot be faulted on, in my opinion, it's their cycling coverage.
    Try watching it anywhere else

And if you are recording, always record the following program also to avoid disappointment when the cycling runs late and your recording ends with 2kms to go.

There is an option to permanently change the start/end recording times to account for this.

I've recorded all sorts of stuff doing this, especially during the grand tours.

Problem is that if your regular scheduling is tight enough you end up missing lots of that with programme clashes all over the place.

I'm not sure I understand you.

TV schedules can and do often change. It's not just a Eurosport thing. I would not knock them for that!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, are you talking about how on Sky you can set it to record a set amount of time either side of programmes a start and end time? If so that can make a mess of the rest of your schedule, eg two programmes start at 9, two at 10, your recordings miss the start of the second lot.

I'm with Virigin Media. I've not encountered problems like that at all.

This. There is so much else being recorded earlier that it's not always possible and when you have an early start the next morning and the program us delayed by an hour, it's annoying.

Their coverage is usually excellent but the last week it's been all over the place.

I understand that live snooker (which is not a time defined sport) will interrupt other programmes but in Thursday night the cycling coverage was delayed over an hour while they showed some programme about an African athlete. It was a documentary and could have been shown at any time.

.... and when you have an early start the next morning...
That is a problem for me. I tend to watch the highlights in bed but generally fall asleep a few minutes into it!
