Well as the tital states my 2012 citroen failed it's test cause the fixed rear axel is as the tester says "well off" any citroen berlingo multispace drivers here in the Rep have experienced this issue and have or will the main citroen dealers do any to sort the problem out. I'm calling in to main dealers Monday morning.

That model has a twist beam rear axle afaik. Nothing to recondition on it. If it's bent a replacement axle is the only option.

dunno exactly what rear axle they have but it seems to be something that's reconditioned

So does any one know where I stand with main dealer who I bought it off 2 years ago or citroen Ireland? Can I squeeze the cost out of one of them as I believe this is a problem a lot of these citroen have hardly my fault they put ****e rear axels in. If all fails with the citroen road and I have to dig deep what sort of money are we talking to sort the problem.

Also Ment to ask what exactly is the cause of these failings are they just not fit for purpose? Does the axel twist or bend slightly causing the fail help me under stand so I know exactly what I'm saying when talking to main dealers cheers bucks

Seems a common enough problem on the newer Partners Berlingos...As said above these are fixed axles and afaik there is no adjustment on them.

Peugeot Citroen have an alignment jig that they use to Re-align the back axle but this may not always work if the axle is bent/damaged.
They only way i can see they can be adjusted is by fitting shimming material between the axle and hub to bring it back into alignment..:)

Right I had the multispace at local citroen dealer this morning and they said that they relined the rear axel to citroen spec. Iv to wait a whole week for the next NCT appointment to c if there work can get me a pass. If it does fail agen iv been told there is nothing more they can do so I'm guessing it will mean replacing the axel. First I will have a go at citroen Ireland to c what they say I'm sure it's not going to be that cheap but what can I do? Fingers crossed for next wed night a pass will be nice

Well the citroen berlingo went in for its re test and I'm happy to say that it passed so what ever citroen did it did the job
I wonder by the time the next test comes around will the problem with rear axel come back to haunt me or is that it sorted?

Iv tough about it alright but I owe nothing on it its cheap to run cheap tax and serves my needs as my wife has a car I used to have a van and the multispace is as close to a van/car as you can get. Savage room inside lots of head hight it really has more positive than negative for me. I had intended on keeping it for years when I first bought it but the issue with the rear axel sickened me but now that iv got my test il put it behind me
