Registry office song ideas

Hi all. Looking for some ideas for music for the registry office and also info.

So firstly the whole day and ceremony is very casual, want the day to be about fun, just to give you an idea of the type of music we would be looking for.

No religious aspect to ceremony at all, so not looking for religious or "chapel" mentioning song. Defo open to quirky song suggestions, would be nice to give ppl a giggle.

Would I be right in saying I need 3 songs; start, signing and end?

Have you met with the registrar yet? I'm asking as I'm not sure of how much time they allocate to your ceremony. After you allow for the legally required parts of your ceremony and the bits you want to add, it would give you an idea of how much time you had and help you decide how many songs. I think you may have to run your song choices past the registrar at some point before the ceremony. I'm not sure of the process as we are having a different ceremony so only had to do our notification at the registrars office. You mentioned no religious content which I think is a requirement of civil ceremonies. There are loads of options out there. Google is a great place to start. There are loads of sites and blogs with lists of songs for weddings depending on your tastes. We're having foo fighters for example. Or you can tone it down with a vitamin string cortet versions of rock/pop. What songs do you two like? We're abit older, met in '99 so might incorporate class of 99 sunscreen song for a giggle. Makes for a more interesting 'reading'. The only limit is what the registrar ok's. Chat with the registrar and have a nosey online. Good luck

Thanks for that. It's in the registry office itself,so from what I understand anything goes and similarly we will only be meeting the registrar 15 min before the ceremony. I'll dig around on google.
