    Hello,

We have an old round roof shed at home with a wing that is only used to store straw.

The round roof part needs replacing of most of the sheeting and also some of the wood and brackets. Not sure about the h iron.

What would a good budget for this work be if going through a contractor?

How big is the roof-area as that would be a factor in cost. I am in the same position and have been told that Tegral Fineline is the "new corrugated iron" but would prefer something sturdier looking and would appreciate advice on what to go for and of the best structure (at present I have wood) structure required to support the new cladding

So the round roof is around 6 m wide and 20 m long.

I would look to buy the material and get someone in to do the work. I think that's the best option

Neighbour of mine got a 4 bay round roof done last year.remember him saying he paid €2500 to get it stripped back and reclad.done the gables as well.
Don't know what the cladding cost. Hope that gives you some idea.

Measure the lengths of the 3 sheets and measure the rise of the sheet when on a flat surface. The centre sheet may be a different length to the 2 side sheets.
A neighbour got curved sheets made but the curve was way too severe. Had to get them rerolled locally.

Would that have included re doing the wood frame?

No.his is steel made of angle iron. Just sheeting off new stuff back on. That sounds like a messy job replacing part of a frame.ive a steel one as well that was put up in the 60s but I've seen ones done in timber down my way as well.
