The half million seems to be pretty much the standard fare in Dairy Ireland..

Pat Smith it seems was only getting as much as his peers. ..

At least Pat Smith resigned when it became public knowledge, looks like we will just have to suck it up from the others

It'll be interesting to see what his replacement will cost, wonder how long those Ornua guys would last in IFA, They're not doing a lot for milk price

Don't forget the 7 figure pensions either.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

i can't understand all you guys fascination with salaries, more important is should they have the job, if they're not doing the job they shouldn't be there at all no matter what they're getting.
Will you be looking for the salaries of the local glanbia manager to be declared next.
How do you get on the board, is it not open competition, is it not there for everyone to contest

I can't fathom how dairy farmers aren't showering glanbia head bottle washers with slurry and burning buildings to the ground!

Will, throw in our friends in DG as well.

    Farmers are being ridden.
All these rich boys have their own agenda, whether its share price, of which they would have many as bonus at a discount or free, or pensions.
    It's me fein first.

I reckon once lads get over the thick of breeding season/first cut silage we will see action alright, it's coming to a point where dairy farmers are being driven to the brink and even the normal lad who likes to give out but normally doesn't do anything after will even be out

On the beef side he seems to be copy and pasting Henry burns press releases......t be fair they don't write their own speeches any way.
I see the assistant gen sec beside him every where being the puppeteer, so he's probably bringing up the old material

Don't expect him to write his own speeches and press releases. They must however reflect the tone and direction he sets for the organisation.
That's his key job, setting the tone and direction.
Lets processors know, he won't suffer being fooled. Began ok, by calling out Glanbia. Not lie down and roll over. He has the goodwill of farmers behind him.

We had Sean O'Leary doing his round of meetings with them earlier in the spring. Handshake and photo opp.
Get in their face. They won't like the medicine.

Don't kid yourself, no difference in sean olearys criticism of glanbia the week before ( without healys interference) and what healy said.
Healy has the support of 14000 members, not 40000
