    Man Utd possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Fosu-Mensah, Smalling, Blind, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata, Martial; Rooney

    Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Hennessey; Ward, Mariappa, Delaney, Souare; McArthur, Jedinak, Zaha, Puncheon, Sako; Adebayor

    Head To Head

Manchester United have never lost a Premier League match against Crystal Palace, with 10 wins and three draws from their previous 13 meetings in the division.

Palace have failed to score in 10 of those 13 games, including five of six at Old Trafford where they have also lost each of their last eight league visits and have kept only one clean sheet in 18 attempts - a 1-0 win in October 1970.

  • Crucial game...

So another scrappy 1-0 win to Utd with no goal in the first half and playing with corner flag in the 87th minute?

I won't get to see the game but after enduring the Villa game on Saturday it might be a blessing in disguise.
Bolasie confirmed as out for Palace,he's their main threat.

OT, but why are there certain games that are not shown live? It doesn't make any sense to me that a match in the EPL is not being broadcast on either Sky or BT

    We badly need to win.

    So I'm expecting a 1-1 draw.

They can only show a certain amount of games, roughly 112 games Sky, 38 BT.
This particular game was scheduled for a Saturday@3pm so might have been a Setanta IRL pick if it hadn't needed rescheduling.

The much more important and exciting Merseyside Derby is on instead.

Yeah the 8th place trophy is a doozy this year.

We've almost a full squad to choose from now for these two games so we need to make damn sure we don't leave ourselves exhausted for Saturday.

I'd probably go with something like this for today.

    DDG
    Valencia - Smalling - Blind - Rojo
    Herrera - Carrick - Fellaini
    Rooney - Rashford - Martial

Varela and TFM will be rested after playing last night so the back 4 is pretty predictable with maybe Darmian coming in for either full back, likely Valencia. Either Carrick or Schniederlin will be rested as I think one both will play Vs Everton. Probably switch them over at 60 minutes to keep both fresh. I do think the front 3 will all play given Rashford and Martial were rested Vs Villa and he'll want to keep playing Rooney to get his fitness up.

Maybe Lingard for Herrera too but since he's decided against playing Lingard in position it's most likely going to be Herrera.

Match fixing, some of our strikers could take lessons from Delaney :p

    Cut open too easily

Valencia is **** at right back aerially.

I hate watching us so much of the time. Rooney gave the ball away horribly there too actually

Why is nobody getting forward to help Rashford there. The players are thinking straight away "Where should I be if we lose it?" rather than getting forward.

Had a stream in English, but now watching a stream with Arabic commentary but it works.

Was there ever anything more fitting then that for Valencia, does good work beats his man gets inside, no idea what to do next.

I think so. They are English lads.

He is. You'd swear it was Messi-like though. One thing they are not wrong about is that we have no target up front most of the time.

You'd expect Rashford to be there for him to hit but there was no one. That was Hernandez territory!

See it's not that hard to make a run and pass the ball in behind a defence.

    ??

Not this game. We've been really good and created chances. keepers made a few ok saves and they're defending in their six yard box. I'm enjoying this.

Where was Rooney off to there? He left a huge gap in the midfield

Why is that only a yellow?

Our ability - much like all season - to make runs in behind a defence is abysmal. Our front three are so restricted in their movement.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,788 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

We have had more chances than usual by they have all been right at the keeper. Our finishing needs to kick up a notch, but I hope we don't see the usual retreating back in the second half now we are one up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,058 ✭✭✭Unearthly

Probably one of our better first half's this season....
