    Hi folks,

Test drove 2 today both 1.7 cdti, question is hatch was a club model and 5 sp box, saloon was also a club and had a 6 sp box.

I know club is just a trim name but why different gear boxes?

    Any ideas?

Possibly different bhp versions of the same engine, or one is slightly newer than the other.

    Hi Colm,

The hatch was 09 while saloon was 08. Hatch has 177km on it, so am not sure what to think, my fiesta has 233km on it, it's an 03. Astra is so comfortable but am not sure as I do about 25 thou km a year, also a bit worried over no temp gauge.

Both cars were Opel not vauxhall

Opel Astra H model 1.7 CDTi was available in 3 different versions - 100bhp, 110bhp and 125bhp. I think only the 100bhp was 5 speed.

You can access the temperature gauge through the on board computer and it will be shown on the center display.
