As with any diagnostic test, talk to your doctor.

If your doctor feels you need the test, s/he will arrange it for you.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. However, I do know that I need a scan, I really wouldn't be asking otherwise.

I want to do it without a waiting list, which I'm already on. Therefore, I'm looking to go privately

Again, talk to your doctor. They'll need to refer you anyway (I think!).

A FibroScan alone costs £341. We also offer a package that includes the scan, a set of blood tests including liver function and a consultation with a Consultant Hepatologist, for £431
