Please bear with me, i know sweet fa about these things.

We are moving into a new house, I have noticed that in both sitting rooms there are TV points, these are only single point.
Im used to the cables running straight into the house and direct to the sky box, with this house, the cables from the dish run into a box on the outside of the house and then from there its a mystery to me.

Is it much of a job to change the single point connections (hopefully you understand what I mean) to twin conections in both rooms, or is this up to the sky installer.

The installer will run the cables from the dish to where you need them. Make sure to mention it to him before he carries out any work.

Probably, if you wish to route the double cable/s in the same route that the original cable has taken ........ as you apparently have no idea how these are run.

I would be inclined to do some research on cable routing prior to having anything fitted.

If it's a new house I'd be surprised if they only ran 1 cable to each TV point, but then again maybe not too surprised.

Can you remove the faceplate to confirm only 1 cable, maybe there's a second cable behind. If there's only 1 cable the Sky installer probably won't run a second via the same route.
