SW in Longford are really busy. There is a very small staff working in arrears and sometimes no staff at all. Arrears is no a priority and you could be waiting some time yet
The only way you'll know what's in the PO is if you go down but it won't be a cheque from SW. The arrears will go either to the bank or the PO

It sounds as if you either
    1. Were getting SWA while waiting for the DA or
    2. Had a historical overpayment?
Were you getting a payment at one stage you weren't entitled to?
    Ring DA tomorrow 1890927770

I was getting job seekers before hand but it was 100 weekly because I'm only 20. The disability and living alone allowance I get paid is 219.50 a week. What I was told is that I will get arrears of 119.50 from November to February so there isn't any over payment I was only on sw for bout 5 weeks before DA

My cousin was on DA for a few months, they got the arrears to her about 4 months after her first payment. It was a cheque in the post. Like another poster said it isn't a priority for them but you'll get it.

As far as i know yes ,full rate 193 -120 =73 x by how many weeks from your clam start date to first DA payment,That was the case for me .

I applied for my disibility allowance in november 2016 and it got approved september 2017.From the november to july i was working 10 hours a week but had to stop working then. For the next 10 weeks they gave me €191.00 until my disibility was approved. When i got approved they sent me a letter saying i might be entitled to arrears but i havnt heard anything since so i was wondering how do i find out if im entitled to the arrears.

Any arrears will be minus the payment you have been given already so as DA is €193 and you were getting €191 you would only have arrears of €2 for those weeks so €2 x10 weeks = €20
It can take quite a while for arrears to be sent out.

Anyone know how long the wait is now for DA arrears, approved on appeal last month, first payment due in August. I wonder when arrears will come through ?

It depends if you were getting another payment while your appeal was being heard
If you were someone’s dependent or getting SWA then the section paying that will be contacted and details forwarded in order to deduct that amount from your backdated payment
    That all takes time

Yes was getting Supplementary Welfare while appealing .

How long do you think it takes ? Approx

You should get it within 6 weeks of payment commencing.
