Any know if the YFS will be reopened for newly certified applicants who missed out in 2014? It seems that there is a check box on the SFP form for continued participation but I cant see anything for new entrants.

Yep you can fire ahead. Have you entitlements to go with it? At the moment there is no national reserve so if you have no entitlements on the land you cant get a top up. 25% on nothing is still nothing.

Technically you are only eligible for 4 years because the scheme is only there till 2019 but I would be very surprised if they don't roll the scheme on as it is an EU scheme rather than a local rural development funded scheme like Instillation aid was

Is there a scheme open to apply for 2016? Last I heard Coveney wasn't 100% sure that the scheme would open again?

Yeah, im in the process of transferring the entitlements now. I also heard nothing about the YFS but I was the check box " Please tick to confirm you wish to apply for continued participation in YFS"

Speaking wit tegasc man last week, he told me that no yfs this year but will open next year. Ring dept I'd say for clarity. About to attemp to transfer entitlements myself not sure what is involved

Spoke with dept. Not valid for new entrants yet, hopefully something this summer!

As regards to transferring entitlements, the form is now available and has to be submitted by 12th May
