Looking to create a base for a garden shed and thinking pavers is the way to go.

Where is the cheapest possible place to get them?

Probably need them delivered and will need hardcore/gravel/sand/cement as well (if that makes any difference).

For what sort of shed and where are you located?

any decent builders providers wll be able to do this. I don;lt mean the woodies / b& q types - REAL builders providers such as mcmahons / goodwins etc. Almost every main town has one.

Going for a plastic/wood composite shed, area will be 3x3m (includes some space around the shed).

    Based in Dublin 15.

depending on the supports required for the shed, u may find that a few 4" or 6" solid blocks on flat on an agreeded grid on top of compacted 804 hardcore will do.

lot of unnecessary expense in laying slabs level for a shed

I was thinking about blocks, but given I want a small area to the front/side of the shed, I think pavers would look nicer.

I also may be storing a motorbike there at some stage, so want something relatively solid.

Priced pavers in Chadwicks today, between 2.50-3 euro each depending on how many I order.

depending on security, you might want to cast a ring or two for chains/locks for the bike.

B&q are doing paving slabs (400mm square) at €1.50 per slab. We did a 6 x 4 shed base using hardcore followed by slabs, then cinder blocks underneath the base this past weekend
