Air hand dryers spread viruses like wildfire

At Swiss airports one has paper towels in public toilets. The same applies to Swiss railway stations.

In Irish public toilets one comes across air hot dryers of various types - conventional, and the Mitsubishi Jet Towel type or the Dyson Airblade.

According to the research in the article linked to above, air blowing dryers spread viruses, which last for about 15 minutes in the air. The Dyson they tested squirts 1'300 more plaques than paper towels. 60 more than the warm conventional air dryer.

Given the filthy state of toilets at Irish airports, and their almost exclusive use of air hand drying, the risks (with travellers from all over the planet concentrated in one location_) spreading viruses etc must be very high.
