Looking at buying a car that was apparently previously registered in the south, its currently on NI plates so would it just be a case of bring the car to local NCT centre and requesting new plates and registering it in the south without having to pay VRT

Anyone shed any light on this

If was previously registered in the South it can't have always ran on super unleaded. If it was exported recently then the VRT could have been reclaimed, so you'd have to pay VRT again.
