Hey so I'm a new sky broadband customer and picked up a TP link C7 router today to use instead of the sky supplied one.

I've extracted the username and password from my old router but am unsure of where to go from here ?

I can't seem to get it working

You need to put the sky router in bridge mode and run an Ethernet cable from one of the Ethernet ports to the wan port on the c7. The username and password is entered on the c7 when it asks.

    Adsl

Did it ages ago with a TP-Link router, just swapped out the Sky hub and used setting suggested somewhere in this forum (with my extracted user/pass information). I can't remember the settings though and no longer use this provider. Maybe someone else can help.

Ensure its set to VPI 8 VCI 35.

The C7 is just a router so can't replace the sky hub altogether unless I'm mistaken?

This is very true, you'd need a ADSL(2) modem/router to directly replace the sky hub.

    Missed that before.

OP you need a D7 not a C7. But a D7 will be useless if you get eFiber.
