I was just wondering does anyone know if you are entitled to a free service call to look at a home charge point?

I would imagine only if in warranty. Give them a call.

The Irish made ones have proven to be very unreliable

It was one of the early ones. Keeps tripping when plugging in the car. Not at the breaker but the charge point itself. Usually works after a few tries.

I had problems with my ESB installed charger, just rang Ecars and they came out within the week and replaced it. No questioned asked. So I'd ring them if you are having issues
