currently have an f140, 110-90, terex 860 and ford 5000. While the ford 5000 is small it generally stays on fertilizer spreader. Was thinking of buying something small for small jobs mainly power washer, but also transport box, hay turner, pto cement mixer etc. Basically the tractor would probably spent most of its life on the pto power washer and it would be handy to have this set up when needed.

what would be a good buy for these type jobs that's cheap and cheerful. basically something that is running well and isn't leaking oil all over the place. Was half thinking of an old ferguson 20 but was then thinking would I be better off with something with power steering. I'm not really pushed about a cab. Was thinking I should surely get something handy for about €5k. Don't need anything overly big. What would ye go for.

For that size of tractor you don't need power steering mostly you'll have a wee implement or transport box on the back, steering in good condition and greased up you'd be fine.
Diesel20, David brown 880 is a peach of a small tractor or a smaller 770 either.

Here a nice 770 for well below your budget. Only €3500

I'd recommend a small Zetor. These have ground drive pto giving 5 pto speeds when the tractor is stationery. Ideal for power washing.

Fergy 20 don't normally have live hydraulics so they're not the ideal tractor to have on odd jobs they're a bitteen too light at the front too they really are more of a show piece.
A fordson dexta with a good cab would be a solid investment cheaper than mf35's as well. A ford 3000 either since you're used to that generation of ford. Good tractor basically the same as a dexta.
I'd go for a db880 or 885 they're a super tractor and one of the best 3 cylinder engines of their generation their gearboxs if in good nick are outstanding for field work especially ploughing but I'm biased :P
Few grand little zetors to be got for cheap too.

MF 135 worth a look. 4000 with no cab might be an option too. 5k should get something decent. For the powerhose you'd want independent pto that is easy to turn on/off from the ground.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Super Dexta.
Live drive PTO, and much more stylish than the usual Massey 35 .

We've an Mf 35 here for small jobs like you describe around the farm & yard. Very maneuverable, no cab, so easy to get up & down off, cabs on these smaller tractors are very tight, good visibility, air conditioning & sun tan weather permitting. 3 cylinder are good starters, 4 cylinders are more difficult, so go for 3 cyl & get a diff lock on it if possible. Cheap to run & repair if anything goes wrong. I wouldn't go for a MF 20 tbh, as no independent PTO. You should pick something decent but not tarted up too much for 2.5 to 3k

After that a 135, ford 3000 or DB as the lads suggest, it's kinda down to your own personal preferences. Ford 4000, MF 165, DB 995, etc are bigger class of tractor circa 60hp, can handle heavier work, but you loose out on tidy size, etc if you move up to this bracket.

You have 4 machines already and only one Arse. Do you need another?

I have but still don't have enough. 110-90 spends most of its life on agitator, f140 slurry tank and 5000 on fert spreader. There probably only taken off the things for silage season to pull the trailers/harvester. I just find it fierce handy to be able to hop off one thing and on another thing without swaping implements every minute. The 3 tractors have wont really depreciate anything anymore and the only extra cost compared to one main tractor is the insurance and tax. It just suits me. everyman to his own.

How about one of those iseki compact tractor, something 20/25 hp...
Easy to get on and off, light on fuel, will do your power washer, small trailer or powerwasher... or a yardscraper...
And you could get a small finishing mower for it, to do the lawn
