    Hi,

I was prescribed a months supply of 1 x .500mcg to take at night from my gp, I was initially given stilnoct but for some reason they didn't work, they actually gave me a worse nights sleep. I've been taking them every night for around 2 1/2 weeks. The last three nights I only took a half a tablet and slept terrible, has anyone any advice and stopping these altogether or is the addiction in my head. I hardly could be addicted after such a short period?

This is something you need to speak to your doctor about. Charters on this forum do not allow for medical advice..

As long as you're taking them as prescribed you'll be fine OP. Stop reading and worrying about benzo addiction.

Your doctor has prescribed you 1 x 0.5mg for a month - why are you messing around and taking only half a tablet and worrying about coming off them after two weeks? If you had diabetes you wouldn't think maybe I should only take half the insulin my doctor prescribed, would you?

I think it might be just in your head. I was on them periodically and didn't get addicted..maybe you're just stressing your self out? Find another way to relax before bed, may reading a book, hot chocolate or listening to a relaxing cd..I found that great. Good luck

Ok, mod hat time, OP as mentioned here take as directed by your doctor, if you have any concerns it's the doctor you need to talk to
