Arriagnment hearings in ireland ?

    Very silly question I feel but need quick answer - doing some basic research on Criminal offences - do we have what in the US is called "arraignment" hearings ?

    Yes, we have arraignments here and it is much like it is in other jurisdictions. The charge is formally read to the accused and a formal plea is entered.
