They're charging adult admission - €20 for age 12 and up, so childhood apparently ends at 11 these days.

How can they justify charging adult prices for someone who still has a year to go to become a teenager???

DCC has some major issues that I hope they'll iron out in the next couple of years. Hopefully that will be one of them.

They don't have to. Don't like it? Vote with your wallet. I think it's shîtty too but that's really the only recourse. I think I'll go this year...

Edit: This came out looking weirdly agro... Not intended as such!

Well from a revenue stand point, that young teen age bracket are forming a large part of the modern comic demographic, coming in from the movies as a first point of contact. Marvel have done a pretty good job in that regard, making somewhat rounded demographic films that appeal to children, teenagers and adults.

So while they will obviously generate more revenue from it, I think that can be relatively "fair enough" considering probably every second entrant will be from the age of 12+, no?

I've never gone and have no real intention of going (I don't see the appeal of queing for ages, then paying, for someone to sign a book) and while I'm relatively new to comics, I don't feel I'm ready for the explosion of a "CON" event.

But even from affar, €20 for a day out in that sort of setup, sounds like a fair enough price if the content and entertainment is up to scratch.
