Hi thanks for posting this. Just wondering will this work with a chromecast? I think they work off HDMI? Also any idea is there a usb port? Thanks again, seems a great deal regardless!

Yes, will work with chromecast. I prefer a standalone device like mk808b plus and airmouse. The monitor seems to have usb port and its own media player as well. I will confirm once I receive it

so not good for a gaming monitor?

It would be fine for gaming unless you're a bleeding edge competitive gamer. Also worth noting that it does not have a stand, wall mount only.

One thing to watch is that this is a digital signage product, designed for use in a shop etc. I'm not 100% sure of the implications of that but they are usually low res and bright. Googling this model number brings up a few seemingly related products in the same family that are lower res than the 1080p mentioned in the eBay listing. So just a tiny little doubt in the back of my mind as to how suitable this would be in a domestic situation. Great price though, looking forward to initial impressions from OP.

Great price for the size. Perfect for a Fire TV stick or something!

I will post a short review once I receive it. I was searching for a monitor for a friend and stumbled upon this. Couldn't resist buying it :)

Composite would be a fairly unusual connection in fairness. The internal CPU and Samsung Signage Platform sounds fascinating -

Speakers ? I see it says 'built-in speakers' on the ebay listing but I would expect they might be fairly low power, maybe not even as good as a TV ?

Hey guys, I got this yesterday and I have to say I'm impressed with it so far. It is 1080p, it has a USB port and the volume from the speakers is decent. I haven't had a chance to test it out properly yet, all I did was hook it up to the laptop with a HDMI and watched an ep of Mr. Robot.

Any questions let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Does it have an aerial port at back for Sky eye?

No, that would require an RF Tuner.

They give the ref number in the listing, this is it on amazon for example (though the pic looks a bit strange)

Any VESA 200 stand should do, though check the overall height to make sure it will fit.

Happy with the monitor. The sound output is good too. There is a card slot and usb port on the back. I am able to play common video formats on the in-built media player.

Have you tried playing a PowerPoint presentation yet? I've gotten it to play the slides but not the effects selected on the pc.
