Has anyone experience of using this A.I. bull on heifers and if so was there any difficulty in calving?

Yes I've been using him for the last two years on heifers. Have had over 20 calves from him now all unassisted. Calving mostly at 24 - 28 months.

Will you keep any heifers off him as replacements?

Have calved heifers from this guys son Lanigan Red Graham, have to say I'm mightly impressed. Small calves at birth with serious vigor, calved up and sucking withing half an hour. Calves have good thrive and have grown well. I'm that impressed that I'm hoping to purchase a brother off Lanigan

Yes I'll keep the best of the heifers. I'm hoping his colouring and being good for milk should produce those orange/gold charloais weanlings that buyers seem to go mad for.

I am delighted to hear from you all that ZLL is suitable for heifers.
Thank to you all who took the time to reply. It is much appreciated.
I intend serving a Chx heifer with him as his figures are good, (apart from sickled legs but I cannot see that as much of a problem except for Pedigree breeders).

If the result is a heifer calf, it would be my intention to keep it for breeding. Fingers crossed.

He has some serious figures alright. Bova have some really good bulls, for such a small operation. They put the larger operations to shame at times.

Agreed. Although a lot of his Angus are imported. The belvin bull is very poor though
