Dropping a case

I have a componsation case in the high court and I would like to drop it . It is listed for court in June and would like to know how I would go about dropping it. My solicitor won't as I haven't paid him yet and he said he's turning up if I don't pay him. The date of the court case was moved and supposedly because a judge couldn't sit on original day . Do the courts have to be honest in why they move it ?

I'd imagine if you pay him for services done and cover all his costs to date then you can drop the case..

Do you expect to drop the case and him not get paid for work completed to date ?
