    Hi,

    I work at Tallaght Rehabilitation Project (www.tallaghtrehabproject.ie) and the internet here is very poor. Here are the results of a www.speedtest.net test;

We're looking for advice about getting a better service but at the same time keeping costs down as we are a (registered by guarantee) charity.

We're paying €55.00 per month to Magnet for this service.

Our phone number here is: (01) 459 77 05 but for correspondence on this please contact me via my email here - paddym@tallaghtrehabproject.ie

    Thank you in advance :)

Did you test over wifi or wired to the modem? If wifi, then connect to the modem by cable and retest.

    Using http://business.digiweb.ie/linechecker/
    we get
    Line Check Results For: 01-4597705

    Exchange Code: Unknown
DSL Enabled: Yes - 5 MB
NGB Enabled: Yes - 5 MB
    Fibre Enabled: No
    LLU Enabled: No
So you should be getting more than 0.83Mbps.

Are UPC/Virgin Media in the area?
[Edit: Just seen the building is in some kind of park, so this is unlikely]

I dropped the marker from this map onto your premises and ticked Wireless ISPs. It would seem that you might get a Fixed Wireless Access service from:
    • Regional Broadband
    • Ripplecom Broadband
    • Wicklow Broadband
You could call each, give them the coords of the building and see if they can hit you with a signal.

Imagine also do an LTE product called Imagine Fibre Connect. I don't if this is in your area or not. Might be worth checking too.

The result indicates your line profile is infact 5_0.5 so the slow result is the nature of sharing a low end connection between multiple users.

DigiWebs Metro product isnt stellar, but in your situation its probably the best bet. Other than that you could pay for an OpenEir FTTB connection but that would cost a lot more and most likely be way outside your budget.
