Two incomes

    Hi,

    I have two incomes that are both PAYE as of the last 6 months or so.

    One is my main income, Job A, and the smaller income is from Job B (less than €500/month gross).

    I have tried "sharing" tax credits between the two of them using revenue website but I seem to be getting hammered on tax from Job A. Presume its best to leave all my tax credits go against my main income?

    Depends on your earnings for job A. If you don't mind saying here someone will be able to advise you better with more details.

    Then you are at the point (assuming that you are not married and using your wife's tax cut off point) all credits and cut off points are used up and there is no real appreciable gain from transferring between employment. Whatever you gain on one job you lose on the other.

    Except for USC you have some spare 5.5% band available.
