Irish immigration

I think that there are too many anomalies in the requirements for visas for foreign nationals.

    For example...

Why do nationals of the Faeroe islands and Greenland which are autonomous parts of Denmark, an EU country, require visas to enter Ireland whereas nationals of the Maldives and the Seychelles, both in Asia, do not?

    Also...

Why is a Canadian national friend of mine with proven funds of $5,000 and an unlimited ancestry visa for the UK on arriving from Glasgow told she can only stay in the country two weeks when another friend from Israel with no proof of funds walks off the ferry from Holyhead without even going through any immigration control?

Perhaps the immigration service needs specialist staff instead of being operated by the Garda?

I think in the ferries they don't check, as you're already in the EU

Don't know about Greenland of Seychelles - do you have a link to what nationality is visa-free or not ?

Well, Glasgow, Scotland is also in the EU!

    Link to visa requirements...

Studies have found that masturbation is frequent in humans of both sexes and all ages and not influenced by nationality.

Exactly, The Faroes and Greenland are autonomous parts of Denmark, which doesn't necessarily make them part of the EU. Which they are not.

Maldives and Seychelles are members of the UK Commonwealth so probably don't need visa for 30 day entry.

We should build a wall around Offaly and vet those feckers before we let them out into the rest of the country for a start.

They've provided a job and life for countless Irish people when the Irish state failed to do so.

Yes that is true, the Faeroe Islands are not part of the EU but almost every country in Europe is visa free.

What has being in the Commonwealth got to do with entry requirements? The Maldives is not a Commonwealth country and every other African and nearly every other Asian Commonwealth country except Singapore and Malaysia require visas.

    That's not true.

Anyone who emigrates to Canada is killed and served up with pancakes. What do you think Canadian bacon is made out of?

Anyone who claims to have come home from Canada is an doppelgänger automatron sent back to steal our state secrets. They should be rounded up and flogged.

The budget for the Irish Secret service last year was 1000 Euro.

Questions were asked in the Dail if this budget was for one big secret or a thousand small ones. The Canadian doppelgänger automatrons need not fear.

Why do you consider countries situated on the South American mainland to be European...?

As of 1 January 2016, the population of Faroe Islands was estimated to be 50,360 people. If the whole country turned up here they would fit easily into Waterford.

Well for example, French Guiana is technically part of the EU

Donnie Trump? Sure he's from Birr originally - he'd put in doors for the Offaly feckers to get out through.

Citizens of French Guiana have french passports. They are already allowed to travel visa free to Ireland. We can also live and work there and Reunion island and other French overseas departments.

New Caledonia and South Georgia and The South Sandwich Islands (there's a mouthful) are in the EU too. A king penguin or a gecko can just waltz through passport control at Dublin Airport and there's fcuk all any of us can do about it.
