Getting rid of that damp storage smell?

I had some baby items stored in a cupboard from when my daughter was little, a few years ago. I've taken them out as I'm expecting a second and they have that smell from being in storage. No mould or anything like that. What can I do with them to freshen them up.. Clean them, air them outside.. Any tips?
