Hi folks Im looking for a bit of help. I have an upcoming medical in which i need to be 6/12 in my bad eye and 6/7.5 in my good eye.
Im currently 6/12 in both eyes.
I had a consultation with a clinic and they told me i needed PRK as i have astigmatism.
my question is if i go ahead with PRK on the 7th of april what are the chances my eyes will have reached the standard of 6/7.5 by the 29th of april? any help/advice/experiences greatly appreciated

I had PRK done last Thursday (24th March). I would say my vision is approximately 90% at the minute, 8 days later, so I would assume you will be fine by the 29th of the month.

I had it done on that Thursday and wasn't really able to drive until this Tuesday, which was the day I got the bandage contacts out. I was back to work on Wednesday and it is improving more with each day.

    My vision was -4.5

Still only at about 80-90% but apparently it can take about a month before the vision becomes perfect

I had LASEK in the Mater Private around 4 months ago and was fit to go back to work 10 days later. Near sight was still difficult but manageable.

My friend did PRK in optilase and his recovery was a lot more painful and intense than mine. Optimise seem to tell a lot people they're not LASIK eligible but waterloo clinic & the mater would have had no problem doing LASIK on me.
