About Mongrel State “Rock, Western and a host of other styles are put through the wringer with honky-tonk pianos and four-part harmonies sitting side-by-side with New Orleans grooves, electric guitars and even the odd inflection of a synth, all underpinned by taut, inventive songwriting”. They are all full time musicians,in Dublin and are from Ireland, Italy, Argentina, and Spain.

About Kicking Bird –“Kicking Bird’s sound evokes Laurel Canyon acts like Joni Mitchell and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, as well as the more modern folk sounds of Laura Marling. The up-and-coming acoustic four-piece are a Dublin based Alt-folk band blessed with two awesome singers, rock guitars and bright harmonies”. The band are pushing to do something different and aren’t afraid to try out different instruments or musical genres to create something new. They sound like an authentic North American folk group but with a distinctly Dublin twist.
