just wondering I'm in the market for a new disc wheel, im trying to decide between a tubular zipp or fast forward disc wheel, anyone decide which is better option or are they both equal.

    Thanks

More than happy with my Fast Forward disc wheel. Lovely smooth hub. Spin it up and it goes for ages. I've the clincher version so can't comment on the tubular one.

With all the recalls Zipp are having I'd probably go with the fast forward wheel. The dt Swiss hubs are quality.

FFWD clincher disc here as well. Love it. Never used a zipp but not inclined to switch given how happy I am with the ffwd.

    I've a zipp 900 disc, 404s and a rear 808. Most for ten years.

    Zero issue.

Some of the recalls have been on things like skewers.

Not sure what is do re clinchers and tubs again mind

They recalled the skewers on there disc wheelset alright but I think the latest is on their 88 hubs.

In saying that I know plenty like yourself with no issues.

get a disc cover, you dont get the sound of a disc but you do get the same aero benefits at about 1/10th of the cost
