Hi I completed med 11 online on Tuesday for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and while I was logged in I also requested a P21 Balancing Statement. The Balancing statement came through today and said that both my husband and I overpaid by just over 100 euro, However there is no mention of the Med 1 return I submitted, only on the overleaf sheet of the P21 'panel 4' and it shows the amount I should receive for Health Expenses but doesn't any where....does this mean I won't get med 1 expenses as an additional refund to P21 balancing Statement refund??

When you request tax relief on health expenses, the system generates a P21 balancing statement to show you how the review was carried out and it's result. The entire tax year is reviewed along with the health expenses claim. The result can be overpayment, balanced or underpayment.

Requesting another P21 isn't going to generate any other result.

is it because i had under paid in tax that i didnt recieve the full 20% refund on health expenses? will I still get the refunds for the other 3 years ? I thought I would of been notified at the same time ?

Page 1 shows your result. Page two shows how it was worked out.
Without knowing your exact circumstances, I couldn't give you a definitive answer on the results. If you were taxed correctly each year and had paid enough tax to be refunded, then you should be getting 20% of the expenses back. The other reviews should have been carried out at the same time.

I only got the one balancing statement for 2015, and the other years was not mentioned?

You should get a separate P21 balancing statement for each year. Check your history in your paye anytime account to ensure all your claims went through. If the did then you may want to drop a line via my enquiries to find out what is the issue.
