Hello, I have some Thermostat radiator valve installed on some radiators.

It's supposed to look like attached image 1.

However, its installed bloody upside down as in the 2nd attachment -so the numbers are on the underside and I can't see them. now I know I can guess what level it's at or look underneath to see what it's set at, but a bit annoying that I can't see the numbers....which is kinda the purpose of these valves.

Is it hard to turn this around to face the right way up. I did a bit of gentle twisting and pulling to see could it be moved to correct position, but no luck.

Unscrew the large silver circular nut holding the trv head to the valve.

No it definitely won't. Just make sure that you are loosening the large narrow circular nut.

    As in the attached pic.

Is it all the one part with the trv

Thanks. I have it off now. Do I have to line it up in a certain way. Like when I put it up the right way around will the 1,2,3 etc correspond to the heat. Or do I have to do something special to make it correspond v

The valve works by pushing on a pin, so it will work at any angle.

Just orient the numbers in the direction you want and tighten up.

Also ensure that the setting is at max (fully anti clockwise) before tightening that narrow knurled nut otherwise you will be trying to push open the pin resulting in the knurled nut not being fully tightened and positioned, you can then set the TRV to whatever setting you require.
