Hi folks, I'm looking for some suggestions for small venues that would accommodate around 60 people for a civil ceremony and then a reception, ideally with accommodation on site or a short taxi ride away, my fiance is over in May so trying to fit a few viewings in then if possible, our budget is around 50 euro a head for the meal.
    Thanks

The Seafield hotel and spa could be a good option? They can cater for your numbers in their tara suite (between 40 and 80 max)

It seems to be 55 per head for their intimate wedding package

Thought they had min price for hiring which is quite big putting it out of price range?

suggest avoca in kilmacanogue with accommodation in a taxi in the glenview or summerhill house, could check both those places for weddings as well but again I would have said outside budget. Been at a few in avoca and for a setting its spectacular. numbers perfect.

Wilton Castle in Bree in Ennniscorthy was recently refurbished and have started to offer Weddiding packages.

Can't see a price per head unfortunately.

Could you go to dublin/ kildare?

It would give you a few more options.

There are some fab restaurants in dublin you could host it.

Fallon and Byrne for one, the ballroom is stunning and they're under your budget :)

Riverside in enniscorthy are excellent to deal with and do great deals.

I understand you are less then 120 but they do a special rate of €29.95 a head.

Worth a try with them if were to suit and room rates are very good.

Right at the river so nice place for pics and if at or around Christmas the lighting is amazing.

Could go to Dublin at a push, I was at a wedding recently in Fallon and Byrne and tbh I wasn't that impressed.

Kippure is our favourite but they were fairly booked up for next summer when i was last talking to the wedding planner up there so we are trying to find other venues to have as a back up if we cant get a date :)

I have to say I was at a wedding there and personally I wouldn't choose it. The food was very mediocre on the day and the b&g weren't 100% happy.

Nice venue but there are some things that could be improved upon.

good to hear feed back, as far as I know they now have a new wedding planner so hopefully any problems have been fixed

Yeh they do. Food and drink tasting so you can be sure you're getting what you want and outside catering was no problem if we wanted either.

    The Pigeon House in Delgany?

Must admit I know next to nothing about it, but have seen it on lists of alternative wedding venues and thought it looked lovely.

Thanks for the suggestion, strangely enough I actually popped in to them today because I was passing by, the decor etc wouldn't be my cup of tea tbh and it was fairly expensive the girl I was talking to wasn't sure of all their prices but she said it started around 65euro a head.
