Was traveling to Virginia Cavan on Thursday, made a call on Kippure repeater, and got a response straight away.

Was also on Trushmore last Friday and got another call back.

Yes the 2M band is quit, but I think Ham's are there but and will talk if calls are made. Not like the old days, when you could not access the repeater, because of so many.

Omagh repeater very active, plenty of chat.

A lot of active Ham's now of Digital DMR up North, but not my cup of tea. Setting up Yaesu Fusion system up here in Donegal at the moment, just applied for repeater Licence.

Any other Ham's interested in setting up repeater in Dublin / Cork with the Yeasu Fusion system, there's a rebate of 600 euro. A good project and learning excerise.

Only one other digital repeater in Southern Ireland at the moment, Limerick, so a great way of getting a new technology going and all above board.
