Is it possible to buy loose fertiliser in a lorry load and tipped in a shed? Half tonne bags are too big and don't to be handling 50kg bags again ! Also could work out cheaper ! Maybe the sweepings can be bought? Or stuff not up to grade for bagging

Bulk is easily got, just ask your merchant. It should be about €12/18 ton cheaper than big bag.

I have a co-op yard 2 miles from the house. Just drive up and get them to load straight into the spreader

Is the problem with the half tonne bags that your spreader doesn't hold 500kg. There's someone on done deal selling a thing that cuts into the half tonne bag and then there's a tap to stop the flow when the spreader is full.
It's the low low price of a quarter tonne of fertiliser.
Alternatively cut a small hole in the bottom of the bag and use a piece of silage wrap to plug it when the spreaders full. Just make a ball of it and shove it in. You'll be a long time wasting quarter of a tonne of fertiliser as you shouldn't spill any if you do it right.

Not that easy to rock up to a boat for an artic of fert.
You'll have to go through a Coop/merchant...there's the issues of franchises/distributors/payment etc.

your talking of 1/2 ton bags being to big but want to buy it loose so im presuming buying lorry loads will be out of the question and i seriously doubt you can rock up with an 8x4 behind the car. would gettin g it delivered in small bags and putting them up on a platform so theres not so much lifting but sliding the bag over not be an easier option.

    Ah.
That's a bit different then. Organise with the cheapest supplier to collect it yourself. You'll probably be collecting from a blender like Grassland/Gouldings etc.
Is the tipper for your own use or are you a haulier?

And Don't forget this is Ireland. It's a damp country.
It's hard enough to stop the damp getting into the half ton bags.
    So watch out for that.
