Currys have a sale on Xbox and Playstation version of the wheel.

228 to collect from store, might be worth a trip. Makes racing games a lot more fun.

Id be going for it if I didn't have the G27 already.

that probably would be worth a spin up the north, if its only collection.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

    Where did you see this?

10% off the gearshifter using code LOGITECH10.

Does not work for the wheel or bundle though.

    Edit: fixed post accordingly.

Can I buy from Currys UK using an Irish debit card? I can't change my country to Ireland when I try to add a billing address.

I had huge issues with Carphone UK with my Irish card, not sure how is with Currys try to ring them first.

usually their system is checking post number tied in with your card, and there is no Ireland in system.

maybe you could do it with Revolut card

Well I ordered something to the value of 1p a while ago with my Revolut Card to a random address as a test, and the transaction went through. :pac:

I'm counting down the hours for this deal, no idea when it will go live, most likely 8am or 9am tomorrow, unlikely midnight tonight.

If only the brits knew some of us Irish boys were stealing their bargains! :p

currys.co.uk will not accept card other than register within UK. First 6 digits of card is giving them your country and payment will not go through with Irish card. Not sure with virtual cards like revolut card.

Nobody seems to know really except currys staff.

I really hope the hotukdeals mod who made the OP isn't taking the piss!

    ITS LIVE!

Got £15 off the wheel and shifter with code LOGITECH10.

    :)

Yeah just after putting in the order, you collecting or picked delivery?

Delivery to DPD Parcel Wizard, hopefully it will go through! :)

I'll let you guys in on a little secret. ;)

I used an Android app called Web Alert, to scan the page for changes every minute, i.e the price, and set a loud alarm for the notification.

That alert probably woke up the whole house but it was totally worth it! :D

    How about yourself?

I guess we'll both be putting our G27's up on adverts then! :p

I only bought mine back in September I think.

Delivered to Parcel Wizard. Seems a bit more straightforward option.

Its an hour away from Dublin to Newry, but it doesn't seem that you can just call in and collect it, warehouse sends it to store??

Ordered the G29, ill be using it on a PC and it seems to have a few buttons and a shifter light, which for some reason seem to be missing from the Xbox Version.

It's saying "Price in store £179.99" so I wonder if this is an online only deal?

We'll find out tomorrow with the comments on hotukdeals anyway.

I didnt realize the G920 had no LEDs, the Orange dial on the G29 is meant to be handy for chaning brake bias but I've never been that hardcore to change it during a race, never bothered with custom setups yet.

Its not the end of the world, but just handy to have. If your using the Xbox Wheel on xbox only, I am sure the controls are adequate, its probably when your using G29 on a PC that the extra controls and dials come in handy.

Big thanks to yourself and Rossieman for posting anyway!

Probably would have missed out if it wasn't for this thread. No longer have to use my G27 with GIMX on my PS4 hopefully. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

Its typical I missed this, had expected it to go live at I and was all sold out by then.

Would have jumped on it, sickened.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,747 ✭✭✭Wez

Was watching this like a hawk, but it kept showing the old price. Gutted to have missed this!

Did you get a dispatch email yet Evolution?

I'm getting worried now, someone on hotukdeals got theirs!

They chose next day delivery though, which wasn't working for me.

    No. Nothing yet.

I probably wouldn't be overly worried. They have taken the money straight away. Would be bad of em to take it and send it back.

At this moment I only have an order confirmation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

As with every single bargain, taking the money means nothing.

I'd say you may have some chance with revolt, but I wouldn't be 100% sure they send it on.

We will see not sure why they would cancel an order for something that is not a mistake on their side ?

Have you received a dispatch email yet evolution?

People who have ordered much later than us without next day delivery, have already received theirs, some even have had their wheels delivered already.

I sent them an email there as they obviously havent given priority to the first to order.

One guy who ordered at 11:40a.m, rang them uo and was told there was an error reported when picking his item from the warehouse, and they gave gim a refund due to a stock level of -49 showing.

So i explicity told them in the email i'm not interested in a refund just in case they decide to cancel the order.

It will be interesting to see what they say.

I just got a confirmation email and a tracking number within the last 2 hrs.

I used revolut card and DPD Parcel Wizard address.

Edit. I also rang them yesterday to enquire if and when will I get a dispatch email and they didn't bring up anything that could be an issue.

Nice one, I used revolut and Parcel Wizard also, but still no tracking number and no response yet.

I hope I'm not too late contacting them, might ring them tomorrow.
Did you hide your number when you called them? Not sure how they would react to an Irish number. " Em I'm down here with work at the moment!" :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,175 ✭✭✭Doge

That damn 0344 number they use seems to be excluded from Virgin Media's Anytime World package, cant ring it with my 48 months mobile plan either.

Dont think I can top up the mobile to be able to call the number either.

I didn't hide my number, for contact number I gave them our UK Office number and for a secondary number I gave them my mobile number +353

When you ring them, they ask you for your order number, name, address (gave em parcel wizard address) and they did not say anything about it.

Managed to get through using some VOIP service, and the lady just said that my order number is there but it also says out of stock, but she doesnt know if that means its out of stock since the order or if it means its not in stock to ship.

She said it appears as if everything is in order, so I guess i'll have to wait and see if I get that email.

Bit pissed off that our others were delayed when others got ahead of us.

Yeah not sure how that one worked out. I put in my order at 4AM.

Finally got a "tracking number" a while ago, and its going to be delivered by "DSG" which is Curry's way of hiding who the real courier is! :p

DSG Retail = Currys / PC World

So basically I cant track it, but at least its on the way. :)

The warehouse seems to be a 24 hour operation, either that or they have a heavily delayed email system.

    Hi,
try checking dpd.co.uk if you have tracking no. I got the same email without link to the courier. They used dpd UK in my case.

Just checked it there and it worked for DPD UK.

THe shifter and wheel are with Parcel Wizard anyway and were sent out separetly.

Only payed for one delivery in advance.
The last time I payed for a delivery after it arrived aT Parcel Wizard it took 2 days to deliver instead of the next day.

If that happens I hope its the feckin wheel and not the shifter! :p

  • This is on sale at Amazon for £144 at the moment. There's a special offer down the page that gives another £10 off so you can get it for £134. Lowest ever price on Amazon I believe.
