Yeah Roscommon / Longford border and east of Mallow seem to be quite active at the moment.

Edit: north of Mullingar just exploded into life.

That's the loudest thunder I've ever heard in Cork.

Bit of thunder and lightning here in Cobh at the minute. We're down for the night, just saw a big cruise ship leave a while ago.

Looking at the radar east Limerick including the city could be in the firing line for thunder showers. It looks like that there was a strike in the Killmallock area.

Please check out my varied content on YouTube.com/@jpmarn. That’s includes some weather.

At home yesterday evening in Douglas Cork around 7 , there was 30 minutes with frequent thunder , good few flashes of lightning , heavy downpours , i dont have any recollection of as much T&L in past 10+ years , very enjoyable.

Took this video from the Pier at Athlone Golf Club at about 9PM last night. Didn't get any flashes, but there was a lot of rumbling coming from the direction of this cloud.

Is it a shelf cloud ? or some sort of bow or something ?

This was the image on the radar about 30 minutes before hand
