    Hi all,

Lost a ewe lamb with listeriosis this morning,

Just wondering what the chances of more getting it, should I forget about feeding that silage to them or is it just bad luck.....silage isn't that bad.

Had 3 ewes with it here this year. All went down within a week of each other.Blaming a bad bale that they got about a month previously.
Often fed them worse and no problems so think it can be the luck of the draw at times.Think sheep with "broken" mouths ie those losing or putting up teeth, that are more likely to get it.
Cured 2 of the 3 with 25cc of bimotrim and 10cc of combivit per day for 5 days plus a shot of metacam. Both lambed down ok although one still has a slightly lolling head.Third one lingered for a couple of weeks but finally gave up the ghost.
