Moate has an 18 hole singles open on Friday, might be a bit far for original poster but anyone who fancies it would be welcomed.

Tramore. Every Friday open comp. €30 for visitors including a meal/grill. Was qualifying too last Friday.

I know Naas are doing work on a few of their holes so might not be full 18 in play. Id give them a quick ring to make sure before you make the trip.

Actually it's quite possible Moate will be pole forked too. It's due any time now. I'll confirm if I find out one way or the other just in case.

Corrstown as a Invitation on Friday, for €15 which is excellent value.

There is only has a view spots still available.

Played the course last Saturday and the greens were in great shape.

You might need to ring the club to get a spot on time-sheet as it's a invitation event.

Going to be in Limerick for the Easter weekend and very slim pickings of open singles on offer. Just Limerick Golf Club with a competition on the Sat and Mon but club has no online tee times to check availability. Newcastle West has a competition on the Sun but it's a long drive.
Limerick as a county seems disproportionately poorly served for open competitions of a bank holiday weekend. Anyone know of anything else on offer as at present thinking of leaving the clubs at home and forgetting about golf altogether.

Another option would be Nenagh, it has open comps over the weekend. About the same distance as NewcastleWest GC.

Thanks, quite a distance at nearly 50km each way. Never played the course before so will consider but with qualifying unlikely to be in play yet not sure I'll bothered. Good website though, has all the necessary detail in an easy to find format unlike some of the Limerick clubs, Limerick Golf Club and Castletroy in particular are very poor.

50km is a bit of a spin but mostly motorway. Limerick and Castletroy generally don't have weekend opens. Ballyneety or Ballykisteen would normally be your best bet but you're probably a week early.
