No!!! Not another big range of Elsa dolls or catchy annoying songs!! I already have enough headaches of hearing my little cousin's with the original film's merchandise. I don't want this sequel to see the light of day!

How do people like this? - Like an honest question?

I'll admit that I have seen the first movie on DVD & I thought it was OK at best. My mum's friend whose daughter owned the DVD thought it was a great movie.

I couldn't believe the amount of overhype surrounding it from a lot of the young kids who loved it as I didn't really get it at all. That song Let it Go has been on loads of times over on the news, Late Late Toy Show & from some of the kids along with their parents. The hype was simply insufferable since I first heard about the film.

But I suppose in a way it's the kids own type of hit movie for their own very young generation. You can't fault it's marketing from Disney though.

My daughter was too young for Frozen when it came out but we did end up seeing it just before Christmas. My husband and I weren't really impressed. Maybe (possibly because of the massive hype) we were expecting too much. Not saying the movie was awful, just we were a bit underwhelmed. It was quite a sad movie overall when you think of how both Anna and Elsa grew up.

We were also surprised to see that it was very much Anna who was the protagonist -as well as the heroine - rather than Elsa. But the final message of sisterly love was nice. The movie broke away from the old fashioned idea of a damsel in distress relying on a man to save her but I think it also wasn't 'anti-men' either.

I actually like it. Except for the song, which is so overplayed I feel my sanity slip away every time it comes on.
When I'm watching the movie I have to fast forward 'that bit'. Cookie to the first person to tell me to let it go. :p

    It's no Tangled anyway.

The songs maybe aren't as catchy, but Tangled's songs are much cleverer, its storyline makes much more sense, the characters are funnier, and it's just a much better film.

I liked it the 2 or 3 times I've seen it.
Even saw the singalong version in the odeon!

Storyline was good. Vocals were good.
I ...err sorry.... My son enjoyed it.:)

Can't see what more can be done with V2 though.

I remember when Frozen came out and if you asked the majority of people what they thought, they couldn't praise it enough (And rightly so, it's a great film). Fast forward six months, and the same people slate it. I think people are cofusing disliking the film with disliking the aftermath. I hate hearing Let It Go constantly, but it doesn't make the films quality drop just because it's become a phenomenon with kids; it's still a great film.

On topic though, I'm sure the sequel will smash all sorts of records, but outside of Pixar and The Rescuers, Disney just doesn't nail sequels, so my expectations are low.

Its no Big Hero 6 but no doubt it'll be huge, the kids will love it and it'll earn Disney Millions/Billions... but I suspect it'll be the last time they revisit the 'Frozen' universe.
