Attaching reflectors to thicker seat post...

Hi Guys,

Cycling nub here. Just bought a second hand carrera subway for commuting to work.

The reflectors were missing though so I picked up some in Halfords earlier but the holder for the rear one is way too small to fit around the seat post. Won't even fit around the slim parts of the frame.

Surely there's an easy fix for this. I searched for other reflectors and reflector holders but didn't see anything to help.

Any help much obliged!

So another half hour of googling and it seams I need a 32mm reflector mounting bracket. Which I can only find them eBay for about €3 but the shipping is €15 which is ridiculous. Is there anywhere else to get them, preferably in Ireland to cut down on shipping.

More importantly have you got at least two decent lights on the rear?

Some people use tape instead of reflectors

No lights yet but they are en route from wiggle.co.uk as we speak! Interesting idea with the reflective tape but I'd want a tidier solution.

Keep an eye out for it on night. Very visible.

Problem with seat post lights and reflectors, is things can often hang off the rider and cover them. Good to have other lights somewhere else just in case. Also good to be visible from the sides as well as rear. Some lights have side windows for this, and hence reflectors, or tap on wheels or frame.
