Hi,just looking for some advice on both of the above cars. Driving an 04 Focus petrol with 200,000 on the clock but it needs new exhaust and timing belt due soon. Looking to trade up to a diesel now as my commute 4 days a week is 160k a day and mostly motorway. Looking to finance but don't really wanna spend more than 15,000 or so. Im hoping the diesel will be more economical and reliable although I cant complain about the focus so far. I need something for 2 kids,16 and 11. Id like something reliable, economical and also comfortable. Ive looked at both the above cars but open to opinions on other, not really got a clue really but Im driving a focus and Skodas been recommended. Would love some advice on the above, thanks in advance.

they come with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, so if you bought that one it would have around 2 years remaining whereas a Focus and Octavia would both be out of, or very close to out of warranty by now. Their current offerings are quite nice and are decently reliable.

Naysayers will babble on that the interiors aren't that nice, but imo they'd be fairly comparable to a 4yo Focus or Octavia.

Sincere apologies for generalisation - but "lady owner"...
