What will happen if I don't college Social Welfare this week ?

I'm stuck here in Wexford and won't be able to get back to Cork in time this week to collect my payment. Usually I can collect Monday-Friday. Should I ring them tomorrow (Friday) and tell them about my situation ?

Will my payment be lost or will I be able to collect double next, week

Please help as I've never had this happen before.

It'll be returned to SW and once you contact them and explain why you weren't able to go to the PO for 4 days they will return it to you in a few weeks

I see, I'll give them a call in the morning to see how long it'll take em to return the payment. Rent's coming up.

If you don't make contact with them tomorrow then you won't get any JSA next week at all never mind a double week
They can just assume your out of the country or working and your payment is suspended pending investigation
The arrangement you have with them is that you collect it every week because you need it, if you don't show up then it's because you don't need it

If your post office is open on Saturday, go collect on Saturday morning, otherwise you may have until noon Monday to collect or lose it.
Note that it will be flagged on the system that you were late collecting, do it enough times and you will hear from them.
