Ok I feel obliged to warn people about <snip>, little scam they have going on.
Paid €700 to get a re-conditioned gearbox put into my car only for it to last 9 months. Rang the centre and after abit of stamering they told me Id have to replace gearbox cables and selectors costing €300-€400 also.
I asked, surely this was all covered in the initial €700 I paid you but I was told NO!!!!
I then decided to bring the car to two different independent garages for a second and third opinion and BOTH garages told me that there was absolutely 110% no problem with the cables/selectors and that it was a gearbox fault itself.
On further investigation I found that I was not the only one who had a little horror story to tell about this Center, several mechanics in the garages I visited for advise told me similar stories.
The centre buy scrapyard gearboxes, clean them down and spray them and sell them on as new/ reconditioned gearboxes on the hope that you'll get six months warranty out of them.

Watchdog BBC programme highlighted this problem in the UK,obviously going on here also, endemic problem in the gearbox/transmission repair industry, I mean think about it logically, they're buying scrapped cars, and really can't/don't check the tranny box, just hoping after a quick wash, that they will last out the warranty time.
