    just looking for a bit of advice, i dont really know where to start. Im married for more than ten years, unemployed but trying to start my own business, my welfare is paying the mortgage at the moment there are no extras or savings. there is a child involved, ive been miserable for a long time and want to separate. Husband is not aware of this yet. everything we have is joint. how can i start to prepare myself for leaving? or what should i do. things are not going to be worked out, this it it ive had enough. i dont want to cause any stress or upset, im not vindictive or looking for any drama i just want to make sure ill have a roof over my head and be able to carry on with normality for our child. i have no family i can stay with. im looking for permanent work and my mortgage is cheaper than the rent in our area....ive been looking online for advice but its just going round in circles in my head. i feel totally stuck. thanks for any advice.

    Firstly talk to your partner and explain where you are at.

    Then if you agree to seperate, consider mediation.
