Moving entrance gate to a field

    Hi,
Do I need to apply for PP if I change the style of entrance to a field?
Currently the entrance is in the corner of the field in-line with the boundary wall at the roads edge.
I wish to add a recessed splayed entrance to do so it means moving the gate back 6m and splaying the entrance by 45 degrees or so.
    Based in Limerick.
    Any advice appreciated.

Alterations to a vehicular entrance require planning.

If the public road is 4 metres or less in width and the new entrance does not pose a traffic hazard it may well be exempt from planning. Section 5 declaration to your local council if applicable for official letter.
